Three Step Protocol

Picture the scene.

Old Firm game. You lot are doing your usual bigotfest stuff with all the old songs on display because you're all dirty bigots. Especially the Catholic/Protestants*

*delete as appropriate

Anyway, the ref gets the nod and blows his whistle. The game stops. An announcement comes over the tannoy telling you all to stop being disgusting bigots for a change.

What do you do?

Well obviously you lot keep going because it's your KULTURE and it's NOT BIGOTTED ITS PAWLITIKAL.

So the game stops again. The players walk off (well, the ones that don't sing along with the songs).

Back they come. Of course you keep singing the songs. And then the bold referee, because all our referees are totally bold of course, decides 'feck it, I'm going to my local Celtic/Rangers* pub' for a pint.

*delete as appropriate.

Game abandoned.

What would happen next?

Because this might become a reality if we lived in an alternative universe where the SFA actually had the balls to stand up to this problem.

FIFA want all associations to adopt their three step protocol to any racist or discriminatory abuse from the stands. If it was adopted, and we all know the SFA are cowards so will resist, it would be very interesting to see if and when it was applied. It might actually stop the bigotry at the games (although sadly not in society).

Random fast food fact for you - the first ever McDonald's in Scotland was opened in Dundee.

Just drove through Dundee. There seems to be a lot of KFC’s.

I don’t know the significance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know of two? Maybe three?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were driving through as fast as we can.

It is Dundee after all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm assuming you were going to Arbroath or in that direction? So you would have went along the Kingsway (one at the ice rink/cinema) and then another beside Sainsbury on the Arbroath Road. I think they are the only two in the city as the one in the city centre closed down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Carnoustie.

They don’t have a KFC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They can always dream about having one

Nice wee place.

Fvck all in it.

Be easy to have a well-behaved support if there were only about thirty of them, and they were all in the same family.

One of my mates lives in Carnoustie. He was a bit of a rogue when he was younger and I think his missus wanted him away from the temptations of the bright lights of Dundee so they moved there.

Good for the golf and that's about it.
