Kelleher in goal

I watched the goals from Wednesday again earlier and feel little or no blame for any of them can be placed at Kelleher's feet.

For the first it's an excellent reaction save - yes you could be hyper critical and say he should have pushed it out to the side but his reaction to save it in the first place was excellent.

Ditto for the second goal.

No chance with the 3rd or 4th and the 5th was in the top corner - Allison would not have save it.

His composure with the ball at his feet was really good. Only 21 which is young for a keeper so time is on his side. The coaches rate him highly.

I think he'll be a good backup for Allison in the future. I hope he gets more opportunities to play this season.

Some of the best keepers in the world
Make mistakes when the defence in front of them are poor and shaky

We saw that with Mignolet and Karius.

We can’t judge him on the other nights performance as our defence was non existent

Kelleher was poor I thought. Adrian really should be playing.

Poor for the first two goals. First he should have done better in controlling where the ball was going. Second he should have knew where he was and that the ball was going wide.

I think he has all the attributes to be a top player but he’s very raw as you would expect. I’m surprised Adrian didn’t play given what he’s achieved for us in a short space of time.

He seems calm with the ball at his feet to his credit

He looked too happy to dive ontop of his toes rather than use his feet and too happy to palm pretty tame shots back into danger. Probably coached by achterberg tbf other than those two karius assists he was alright. Ill give him the benefit of doubt but if he wants to make it might wna start holding onto tame shots or pushing them out of danger not into and using his legs to save when appropriate, never understood why keepers dive ontop of their feet or fall to the floor after palming away a shot they didnt have to move for as it was right at them.

Two things that make de gea a great keeper are his handling and saves with his legs, 90% of keepers seem to not want to catch the ball or not use anything but their hands to save shots

Reina was so fkin annoying for it amount of goals he let in near post tight angle tryna dive ontop of his toes where if he stands still it hits his leg and its a save, saw a keeper the the other week do it remember saying to my cousin look if he stands still it hits him and its a save hes dived out the way of it..

It's the fact that most keepers are giants.

Kelleher is as tall as gomez or Lovren or fabinho. About 6 feet 2 inch.

Alisson is nearly 6 foot 4 and he's as big as he's tall. Monster.

Adrian is 6 3

Vvd and matip are even taller..
