wow what a horrific tackle and injury

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUbMAVnY2Rw

you can see from Son's change of demeanor when he see's the damage he caused just how bad that is, the tackle probably only makes half the injury though, the awkward fall into Aurier compounded it

yikes

I don't know what's worse, diving for penalties or snapping another players legs like this. Sandy, do you think you can confirm this for me please?

Not nice joking about a player with a broken leg. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Who's joking? The comments aimed at you, not that poor lads broken ankle caused by one of your players. If Son hadn't have fouled him like that he wouldn't have injured himself. No malice was intended I'm sure, but the action caused a reaction. Point is you go on about Liverpool's discipline and call us divers, but we practically win the fair play award every year, so this myth of us being cheaters is nonsense.

Aurier did the damage with a very reckless tackle. Sons tackle was poor, and he deserves no sympathy.

The red will be rescinded I reckon.

It shouldn’t be. Although the tackle in itself doesn’t look bad, it’s no different to following through with say studs up. The tackle is good it’s the follow through.
In this case the tackle wasn’t good, and made no real attempt to get the ball, and Gomez planted his foot due to this and broke his ankle.
No son stupid tackle = no injury.

But literally every tackle *could* lead to a freak injury

A clean tackle could lead to a serious injury so what should happen then?

The refs organisation and PL are embarrassing.

It was a bad tackle, from behind, with no chance of winning the ball. Even without the broken leg it could easily be justified as red.

Could do, but doesn't. And that's not remotely true. Son has lunged in and the chances of him getting the ball are slim, gomes also cannot prepare in the slightest as its from behind.
