I was having a look at our squad to see who is out of contract at the end of the season.
McGregor - New deal supposedly in the pipeline.
Foderingham - Decent back up, but i imagine he will want out?
Alnwick - Thanks but see you later.
Firth - Possibly kept as 3rd choice?
Flanagan - I like him, injured quite a bit but i would give him another year..
Halliday - Lived the dream but nowhere near good enough.
Houston - On loan at Ayr, played 10 games but not sure how he's got on performance wise. The times i've seen him i haven't rated him.
Davis - A stick on for a new deal.
Barjonas - First team squad but nowhere near the actual team, a loan would have been more useful but i suspect time is up.
Rossiter - Has actually stayed fit since January, played 16 games this season already Probably too late for him at Rangers though or will Gerrard gamble and give him another year?
Holt - Times up, liked the wee man but no chance he will get another deal.
Palmer - A regular in a poor Partick side, no idea what he's like but i suspect he won't get a deal.
Herrera - Almost off the payroll
Rudden - Stuggled at Plymouth, 2 goals in 13 games. New deal worthy on last seasons form? Gerrard did like him pre-season.
If it was me i would give deals to:
McGregor
Flanagan
Davis
And Defoe if is Bournemouth contract is up....

Docherty is a great lad - super fit , dedicated and never any bother to the club. Unfortunately he is limited as a footballer and I would say top half of League One, maybe bottom half of the Championship is about his level.
Barjonas has a lot of ability but his desire and work rate is a wee bit in question. This years contract is his last chance to show he can kick on. There’s maybe a wee concern with him that he’s beginning to enjoy the bright lights out with his pals.
Lewis Mayo is decent enough - CB who plays as a holding centre mid for the development team sometimes but doesn’t really have the passing range for it. Usually used in there for his size if required. I’m not convinced he will trouble our four first team CBs in the next couple of years though.

Time for Docherty to move on, i would expect his fee back at least though after he did very well for Shrewsbury and a sell on.
Jury out on the other two for me, not seen enough of Barjonas or any of Mayo.
Beerman was schite. Playing in Malta now i think.

Fraser Aird and Ross Perry are two boys who won a career in a lucky bag.
Perry plays for Darvel junoirs the now so he can get fulla gear at the weekend

Aird leapt to the first team reckoning because he caught McCoist a eye one day in a development game at Auchenhowie. He hadn’t even been on the radar of the first team before then.
He came in and had a good debut against Motherwell.
That was probably the last time he did play well tbh 😩

Fraser Aird has a wonderful set piece delivery but in open play he is dreadful. Had to pay the kant off too to get rid of him.

Holt is at St Johnstone, Rossiter at Fleetwood.
Barjonas should have been out on loan, probably will be moved out in January. I don't think his deal lasts past the the summer.
