We should be targeting 10 points minimum on current form, but I can see Everton and Villa potentially causing us problems.

They’re all winnable though. Although every game is winnable but for Liverpool and Man City currently.

Should be looking at five wins. I'm not concerned about any of them as long as we play like we have been. Even Man City away, Liverpool at home and West Ham away are winnable in this form, especially West Ham.

In some respects who we play now is a little irrelevant. It’s a bizarre place for Leicester fans to be, but we knew if we played well against Arsenal we would win. Historically we could play to our full potential and still lose.

Apart from Man City and Liverpool it is likely to be the same scenario: play well - we win. The challenge now, however, will be a different one. We’re suddenly a big scalp for these teams and they will be approaching them differently. Previously those teams mentioned above would have been targeting us as a game to get the points they need. They will now be approaching it as a game where the full 3 points is a bonus and something of a free hit.

I agree.

At the moment, if we play 4-1-4-1 we win/do well. So for the next 5 games barring an injury to Vardy or N'didi its business as usual and you wouldn't bet against winning these all to nil

Stilled pi$$ed off about the Man U game, alas I digress that BR now has confidence in the team. I can not wait for Man U to come to town and spank them!

When does anyone say that? Lol Also not too worried about Man City or Liverpool..... They have the pressure!

Definitely a decent run of games but then again these are the type of games we'd have struggled in for the last few Seasons.

Lets hope we can continue with defying the recent past.

It was so irritating for us to visit Old Trafford and not give it a real good go, how many times do we have the opportunity of doing well there? I suppose this game came a bit early for us, if it happened now I very much doubt we'd be trying to play Puelball with 2 DMs.

Incidentally this result is used by lazy journos/pundits to show that we can't compete properly at the top end of the table, whereas we can see that the team is evolving rapidly into a different one from that at the start of the season as the new players (Soyuncu/Barnes/Perez/Tielemans - that's quite a chunk of the team by the way) and style are bedded in.

We may even get to 40 points early!

I think that’s actually an important point.

We were actually quite average in the first 5 games. Too conservative in our approach and lacking fluidity. We got away with it to some extent and still picked up a decent points haul.

That Man Utd game may have been the one Brendan needed to finally drop the 2 CDMs and tweak the shape. Everyone seems to know their own role now and where they fit within the side.

It’s only since those tweaks that I’ve gone into games thinking that we’d have a very good chance if we play to anything like our potential. Before that it was always a question of whether we could be creative enough and avoid isolating Vardy.

It’s a good point Joby. I believe what Rodgers has demonstrated is that he’s willing to adapt his style and formation to get the most of of the players. The opposite reason is why Puel ultimately got sacked.

I think Rodgers cane with a view that 4-3-3 was his formation of choice. But as we know from the Puel days, this can often leave Ndidi confused and Vardy isolated. Two of our best players nullified.

What Rodgers deserves immense credit for us not only seeing that, but finding a solution. Who really heard of 4-1-4-1 before we did it? BS still doesn’t believe it exists 😂.

The real positive to this is I think we can improve further. Perez still isn’t quite there and Barnes is still very raw. This team is still developing.

But what does worry me still is that 4-1-4-1 will get found out and teams will work our how to push our fullbacks back, and exploit the space between our midfield and defence. I still think Man City or Liverpool could tear us a new one in that area.

I think Rodgers still has one eye on 4-3-3, but right now, this formations is getting us goals, wins and until now, no problems at the back with the best defensive record in the league. As long as we can make teams think more about stopping us than attacking the spaces we leave, I think it will continue that way.

What a time to be a Leicester fan.
