A good end to a fabulous week.
It's actually been a terrific 3 weeks since the last international break. 7 games, 7 wins, qualified for the last 32 of the EL, top of the league and into a cup final.
Yesterday had the inevitable European hangover feel to it but i thought we managed the game pretty well without being excellent. Motherwell are actually a decent side on the ball these days and they have a lot of runners, their front 3 never stopped pressing us all game so we did well to play through it.
Young Frimpong was once again, very impressive and i've no qualms about him playing the next few games with El Hammed likely to be out for 3 weeks, hopefully the big gorgeous Israeli makes it back in time for the cup final though.
Johnny Hayes got MOTM yesterday and in fairness to him, he's come in for 2 games and did very well, he does a job for us but i just wonder what Greg Taylor is thinking if he can't start ahead of him at home to Motherwell.
Tiredness no doubt played a part in the last 20 mins, we really just did the bare minimum and after Thursday's exploits that is understandable.
Now we have 2 weeks until the next game, hopefully a chance to get Griffiths available for the bench, poor Eddy looked absolutely spent yesterday
Lennon mentioned yesterday that he's hoping for some of the Scottish boys to get some downtime during this international break, McGregor and Forrest in particular, not sure that'll happen as Clarke will want to try get a settled team for the play offs.
Anyway, we're in a fantastic position right now and credit to Lennon and the players for the standard set so far this season.

somebody from the United end shouted out (think it was someone coming in late but not sure) then the Dundee fans in the Derry went daft, which made some of the United fans go daft, which made the Dundee fans start chanting something and it was all a bit of a mess.
