Top 4

A long way to go in the season I know but our odds for top four must have changed dramatically. Do we think it's all wrapped up? Even if we go on a terrible run can anyone see man utd, arsenal or spurs going on such a run to see such a swing? Chelsea have had a good run of fixtures so will have to see where we are post xmas but here are the current odds.

Current odds:

Chelsea 1/4
Leicester 1/2
Arsenal 7/2
Spurs 4/1
Man Utd 5/1
Wolves 18/1

If I was a betting man I'd look at that 18/1 and chuck a 5a on because wolves started slowly but are starting to look a better team again.

Current table

1.Liverpool - 34
2.Leicester - 26
3.Chelsea - 26
4.Man City - 25
5.Sheff utd - 17
6.Arsenal - 17
7.Man Utd - 16
8.Wolves - 16
9.B'Mouth - 16
10.Burnley - 15
11.Brighton - 15
12.Palace - 15
13. Newcastle - 15
14. Spurs - 14

Unless you draw us.

tbf you have the perfect set up against us so far this year. Its why I thought palace would cause us more issues at the weekend.

I can’t remember the last time we’ve had such a good run of results against you.

That aside, Europa would be better for your youngsters than not. Especially with the gap you’ve built/will likely build over the chasing pack for the top four.

Unless you somehow keep pace with Liverpool, that is, which seems unlikely.

Think Top 4 is probably set, I doubt that either Arsenal or ourselves (Utd) will go on the type of run it will require to bridge the gap now.

The transfer ban has been a blessing in disguise for Chelsea, stockpiled the best English youth and now you've been forced to play them things are looking up.

Dont agree with the ban being the only , or even the main reason.
It may be the reason we brought in lampard although even then i'm not sure.
But we were playing cho and hudson odoi, as well as christensen the last few years. cho last year as an 18 year old before he got injured. It may have helped but I think with lampard in charge, and our injuries, mount, tammy and tomori would have gotten game time.

as much? maybe not.
Gilmour? almost certainly not.

But feel we have been turning a corner slowly for a good few years.

The ban has led to a perfect storm, regarding the youth. Difficult to imagine what the alternatives would have been without the ban.

But we were playing cho and hudson odoi

chelsea should be deducted points for cloning a player and using him twice

This youth has dominated for years. Almost unlike any youth team before it
