BK, yep agree with that. Even then I don’t think TFM’s was that successful seeing as he only started about half their games. He’s out of contract in the summer as well actually.

I've may have been stretching it a bit!

TFM's a talented player with terrific physical attributes. I'll be interested to see if Ole gives him chances, especially as he can play in midfield where we're short.

A combination of injuries and not knowing what his best position is may be his undoing.

On loans... Andreas Pereira did have a good one at Grenada actually. Maybe we're improving that side of things? I hope so!

I reckon it’s pretty unlikely he’ll get any game time this season. We do have the option to extend his contract for a year, so I wonder if we may do that and then send him on loan to see if he can find a bit of form and fitness and maybe surprise people.

It'll be a shame if he does leave on a free, but he is down the pecking order when it comes to our young players. Gomes is the one I am really bothered about.

I wonder how TFM felt seeing Ajax do so well last season. I’d imagine had he stayed there his development would have been far more consistent and he would have had a great chance of making it there.

Does show that moving to the big clubs when you’re young isn’t always the best option for your career.

Yeah I’m sure that’s happened with quite a few others over the years as well. I think he was quite highly rated at Ajax as well.

His injuries and loans didn't help. We bought the guy who took his place at Palace for 50m.

We should really look to loan them to Championship clubs as they're more likely to play then. Most of our more successful loans have there (with Evans and Henderson going back to the same club on loan after promotion).

Clearly another urban marketing masterclass.
