Just read some comments made by mhki on how he was deployed by Emery

Doubt any attacking player would enjoy playing under him

Too bloody right.

I got to watch England give Montenegro a good shafting, and my beloved Portugal are one step closer to squirming through to the finals. Life is good.

Next week when the league is back on, the holiday's over. So enjoy while you can 👍

Probably exactly why we got him. Wenger let all the attackers go. Emery didn't even have an attacking team of players left. Kinda need 2 wingers for that. Kroenkes wanna spend as little as poss so figure “Hey let's get a really defensive coach then we save some cash on replacing that crap defence we've got.” Cheap DM couple cheap CBs and a coach who makes the whole team defenders first. Save yaself a good 80 mil

We won’t beat Southampton and unless they beat us heavily Emery won’t get sacked.

There have been a few occasions we haven't beaten Southampton at home. 0-0 draw in 2015/2016. We also lost at home to them in the league cup in 2014/2015 and 2016/2017. We had a few lucky wins against them. 1-0 league win in 2014/2015 where we scored in the 90th minute after they were down to 10 men. We also beat them 2-1 in the league in 2016/2017 where we had a late late pen to win the match!
Also in Wengers last season we beat them 3-2 but the goal came in the last 10 minutes.
So this isn't going to be an easy game at all!

You can't judge on games from few seasons ago. It's a whole different team, look how we changed from that seasons.

Southampton is a feckin JINX game

Got a nasty habit of beating us when it's least convenient to the table

Yeah, but if we beat them they will give themselves a pat on the back and say they were right to keep Emery.

That's football

I reckon they'll wait for a few more points before any back patting. He'll stay under pressure now until we're back in contention for top 4. A couple wins and looking something like an Arsenal team again will buy him a couple of weeks off the firing line.

But I'm guessing he's got until Jan 1st to convince the board and his players he's got a grip. Either we're in contention for CL by the last game of 2019 or Freddie gets the job and a shopping allowance come 1st Jan.
