Where will we be pre-Rooney?

Well lads and lassies I think the faithful are wondering how this is going to go, will it be more of the same (hit and miss) or an uptick in form.
Not sure myself, have a sort of ho hum feeling about this season, not playoffs and no relegation threat, we need some stability on the manager front so lets not have any musical chairs again there.
Does anybody think there will be any arrivals in Jan or have the purse strings been pulled shut, so glad this international break is coming to an end.

Within touching distance of the playoffs even if we don't gain another point between now and January this division is so tight.

I'd agree with Spart. I think there's 5 clubs who will still be aiming for top 2 and another 10 who will be in with a chance if play offs come Jan 1st.
If Rooney can have a positive influence, we can still get top 6.
Again 🥵

Hopefully there will be some out going players, so there maybe some incoming players, like a centre half.

We need stability, a shot in the arm (Rooney), and to see some youngster progression. Philip Cocu is just the ticket for that.

Then, next season watch out!

Incidentally, what is more important is, where will we be post-Rooney?

Re your question - will there be any arrivals? I think there (may) be more departures than arrivals. I have a feeling that Mell is getting a bit fed up with what he has created. Though he should be proud of what has been achieved. A soundly managed club with a good infrastructure, a great youth/young player set-up and a reasonably sound Championship team, and Wine Rooney to come.

Pre-Rooney.

I think we are on the cusp of becoming a good team but it will require Cocu holding his nerve and sticking to 442.
The most important element being Beilik must be the holding midfielder.
I'm concerned that Cocu may play him at CB but that would be a mistake and a waste.
Admittedly we are a bit bare at the back but we do have Wisdom and Forsyth who can fill in there until Clarke returns.
Personally I'd play Fozzie as he's left footed but both are comfortable on the ball and can carry it out from the back.

So my message to the manager is don't bottle it and we'll be fine.

Agree 100% Rameses.

Talking about managers: why would Spurs sack a decent and good manager and employ a narcissistic has been such as Mourninho? They must be stark staring bonkers and it will end in very expensive tears.

If you have 20 minutes to spare, an interesting interview with Cocu talking about his overall philosophy, especially about the younger players. Good stuff. We should stick with this guy.

Reminds me of the scene in Henry IV where they are looking for a way to win the civil war.
