Media Have Changed their Tune?

So over the last 5 years under Poch, the stick used to beat Tottenham with by the media was that we haven't won anything, and players like Kane, Alli, Son etc wont stick around because at the end of the day its all about trophies.

Spurs sack Poch (after a truly shocking extended run of form), and then appoint one of the most decorated managers in the history of the game, who has won trophies everywhere he has gone, and now its how dare Spurs sack Poch, he was the best thing that ever happened to them. players like Kane etc loved Poch and now won't want to stay.

Hypocritical much? i find the media reaction all a bit amusing really.

As for those spurs fans who are refusing to at least give the new manager a chance (not going to name names) ...... you facking mugs ! ... like him or dislike him (i currently dislike him), he is now part of the club and if you are going to obstruct it you might as well follow Poch out the door and go and support Bayern or wherever he goes next. You support the club through the rough and the smooth, and all we can do is thank Poch for the fantastic job he did, and look forward and get behind the new regime....

managers come and go, players come and go, but the fans remain... so we either try and help, or we try and hinder.

or we just accept that the facking boo boys that poison White Hart Lane will come out at the first disappointing result and watch the whole thing unravels before its begun.

having kane and son loving you is useless if everyone else hates you

this is the first time in a long time I've looked forward to a Spurs game at the weekend

I was Poch in, but now he's gone, I'm moving on, we all have to

i think we will do better with Mourinho than some think
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Based on what though? It’s just pure wishful thinking.

I’ve never booed a Spurs player or a manager at a game and I never would for the record.

My beef isn’t particularly with Jose, although I do think
He’s toxic and a totally bad fit for Spurs.

It’s the shady, and frankly appalling way Levy operates and does business.

HE IS THE PROBLEM.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually agree with you regarding Levy. Think he's a massive cuuunt

but doesn't stop me being hopeful of a decent reign under Jose

I'ma Spurs supporter. I support the club and want the club to do well regardless of who we have in charge or playing for us

Like Chronic says, supporters are the only thing that remain at a football club, so even when it was the best it's ever been under Poch, I knew it wouldn't last, nothing lasts

same with Levy, he will eventually come to leaving the club for one reason or another

You have to accept it and move on

Fans are against the Mourinho appointment for good reasons. He's as toxic as they come. I obviously won't boo him or anything but if you could rewind time I would take Poch back in an instant.

Honestly, some supporters are just looking at the trophies he's won without any context.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
very few fans don't see the negatives... we all see the shortfalls......

1. the way he works seems the exact opposite to the way levy works
2. questionable character
3. style of play

the point is whether you choose to support the club through choppy waters, or you don't. i will support them.. and i know you will too.... but some wont.

there is a difference between not being happy about something but showing support, and showing contempt and being part of the problem. for example, i was not happy about the situation with Poch, but i was still supporting him and the club because he was the man in charge
