We were facing paying Matic's wages and then not getting a penny for him - now we'll get a fee and lose the salary - Jose will do us one last favour. I'm sure the Spurs support is salivating at the prospect of that Dier/Matic midfield. But how will Eriksen like playing as the right back?

As funny as it sounds isn’t totally insane

If spurs really think CE is off for nothing in the summer and Jose actually wants matic then saves them paying us a penny and they at least get a player their manager wants in return for one they face losing for literally nothing

Makes total sense for us too as player swaps in January have always worked well for us

I'd be careful of Eriksen. His drop in form has been very alarming.

It's being put down to him not wanting to be there, but people said the same about Sanchez and Torres.

I'd be careful too. But unlike the others, he hasn't had a spate of injuries or been playing full pro football from a very young age. Plus Matic is useless, so wouldn't change much there.

The deal for Sanchez is terrible not only due to the performance but also the outlay. Mhiki was terrible for us and needed shipping out. He's not done much at Arsenal (and is on loan at Roma).
