I’m more intrigued about the Lille set up we are importing into Spurs. I’m hoping Joao is a talented no.2 with aspirations of being a manager (Like the Santini/Jol set up).
We could also finally be getting a DoF: Some fans will argue but in this day and age including the size of the club its dumb to expect a Manager to over see;
Training
Tactics
Press/Media
Scouting
Buying/selling players
Contract Negotiations
Levy shouldn’t be too heavily involved until the cheque is required. I think our set up is partly why we couldn’t sell our deadwood or scout and unearth top first team quality for decent prices.
A better structure is needed. If this means a new DoF, Head of scouting, Coach and assistant coach then so be it.
Levy needs to now stick to this blueprint moving forward instead of chopping and changing.
Where in the world is Joao Sacramento?

Definitely need a DOF. This Gomes guy seems to be candidate but I heard the club is not looking for one.

Sounds promising with Campos as DoF but I always think these sporting directors with a supposed eye for talent are sometimes just fortunate to be in place when promising players emerge. Frank Arnesen, Damien Comolli and Steve Walsh were all flavour of the month at one time but they’re only as good as the team behind them will be. Luck plays its part. I think it was David Pleat that unearthed Dele Alli so anyone who knows football will be able to spot a player really. It’s more important to get someone in that position that can knit the club style with a good relationship with the head coach.
