Freddie's First Month.

Quite an interesting run of games between now and the New Year for Ljungberg. Especially now that the Board have gambled away our run of arguably "winnable" games in a futile bid to ride out the storm and wait for a turnaround in fortunes.

Norwich (A)
Brighton (H)
West Ham (A)
Standard Liege (A)
Man City (H)
Everton (A)
Bournemouth (A) - Boxing Day
Chelsea (H)
Man United (h) - New Year's

That's 5 unforgiving away games, including a must-win group decider against Liege, plus 4 at home to Brighton, City, Chelsea and United.

All the best, Freddie.

I don't mind Freddie handling the rest of the season whilst we make a thorough and meticulous search for a new manager rather than rushing to get anybody. And if Freddie's results show he can do the job, why not? Lampard is doing well at Chelsea, and that's how Pep started at Barca.

OGS was a joke manager long before he went to United. Not saying Freddie will do any better (although I hope he does) but the situations are a bit different

I would rather have Arteta

Plenty of winnable games in there. The whole struggling away from home doesn't mean a normal side should find it this hard, eventually we'll have to step up.

Benitez wd be my preferred choice, but will probably demand a huge salary.

It's not must win, it's a must not lose 5-0.
Slightly better odds.

I'll admit that our 2 agonizingly deep Europa League campaigns have left me quite invested in the tournament. I'd love to see us finally go all the way.

We avoid all the group winners, plus all the Champions League dropouts, if we top our group.

As long as he plays attacking football I'm sure the fans will be on his side.

This situation won't be rectified with a lesser name foreign manager like NES. ONLY way this current lot of “Hound 'im out and make it all worse” fans at the club, will give the next manager any time at all. Is if he fits one of three profiles:

1. Bigtime name, string of trophies, quality undeniable.

2. Former Invincible/Legend

3. An Englishman

Anyone not one of those three things, we really shouldn't bother to waste time and cash recruiting. A certain MINIMUM amount of time is now needed all over again. Only an Englishman, a multi league winner or Arsenal Legend, stands any hope in hell of getting it. Even then, they'll be a handful of results from getting booed out too.

Do you think we should've held on to Wenger and Emery then?

Once the fans hound out a manager who was improving the side then it makes sense to criticise them.
