Dean Smith not sacked

But signs a new four year deal, nice to see some clubs sticking with their managers

Done a good job so far, long may it continue, a few more points would have been good tho

Only 5 managers sacked in last 4 years at Villa

You can't have too many managers

But Dean is putting down roots. We're on the up. Man C could only draw with mighty Newcastle, who we wiped the floor with.

Fancy our chances against MU. By rights they should be clear winners, but football these days is an uncertain business. Time for McGinn to show MU what he's worth.

A point at OT and deserved is good,

We are at the wrong end of the table but I love the football we are playing,

And for all his faults Grealish is a very good player.

Grealish is turning into an exceptional talent. I agree he had his faults as a youngster but is now putting in the hard work and graft to become a top player. It’s music to my ears that DS said he’ll be more concerned about missing that chance than scoring a great goal, he’s turned into a perfectionist and will go to the top with that attitude.

We may struggle long term to keep him, but comments like Man U should sign him are foolish, they look bang average right now and he can do better. Personally I think he’s exactly where he should be, at his boyhood club and a club that has the resources to match his ambition. I think lazy pundits and journalists will soon realise the owners’ intent is not here to make up the numbers and you only have to look at Leicester and Wolves as examples of clubs that have made tremendous progress in a short space of time.

Two other tough games this week before a reasonable run to the new year. Hopefully we can move higher up the table over the coming weeks.

A very good result; 10 years since we last avoided defeat to MU away. And first win over a "top" team this season.

Not perfect. But nothing we need to worry too much about. And several star performances, with Jack's at the very top.

Thanks Andy bud, just good to see the positivity that's returned to the club and we're on the right track at last
