Ole In

What exactly is the argument for keeping Ole in the job, because most people I speak to dont seem to have one.

Is Maguire much off an upgrade on say Smalling who been shipped out on loan.

-------------------------

A mistake the club made was letting Smalling go, he would have been a good fit with Maguire.

Maybe Ole made a mistake there.

Nobody gets shipped out on loan if they dont want to

Maybe smalling should have stayed and fought for his place
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe he was told he was behind Maguire, Lindelof, Tuanzebe, Rojo and Bailly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would think he dropped in the pecking order behind Maguire and lindleoff . I highly doubt it was all 5 of those players but even if it was he still could have stayed and fought for his utd shirt/starting position

Nah. If the manager tells you you arent wanted then you go and get football elsewhere and prove him wrong.

The best reason to keep him is that he hasn't had the chance build anywhere close to a complete squad capable of competing for top 4 let alone trophies. Until he does then he can't be judged properly

OK. But are you happy to miss out on Poch whilst ole spends another £200m in the summer in the hope Ole improves us ?

Yes I am.

For me Ole is not the guy to take us to positions we have been before. However he is the guy to do what other managers would not be happy doing. As such I am happy with Ole.

In a nutshell we were a mess before SAF left. His genius was what kept us competitive as we certainly didn't have the players to be winning leagues at the end.

Moyes came in and dismantled the club. Git rid of the wrong players imo. LVG and Jose tried sticky plasters to try and combat the serious decline, think Bastian and magic.

The club needed an overhaul and the top managers are not prepared to spend a season or two tarnishing their names by being uncompetitive and sorting out the mess.

Ole comes in, shifts out the Deadwood. Happy to be ridiculed for the club he loves and let's be honest the opportunity.

The youth will be wiser and a bit more experienced, he will buy in certain types of players. Sell the not so good ones and then a manager will come in who has a stable starting point and can make the odd adjustment to build a career

This is a really good point.
