Big game tonight for NDombele

Morning all... Looking forward to tonight.... "quietly confident"

Just a quick thought on NDombele, granted he's had injury and fitness issues but has yet to really catch fire. Can't help thinking tonight would be the game I really wanna see him step up. Big game under the lights at OT.... This is supposed to be the kind of environment where big time players shine. He is gonna be BY FAR the best midfielder on the pitch (United's MF is dogshlt). Hopefully we see him with lots of possession and his passing (which so far has been the best part of his game, is on point).

Always thought Dembele played well vs United for some reason, really wanna see a "beast" like performance tonight. If he plays well, regardless of whether he's alongside Dier or Sissoko, we will get the ball to the front 4 on the break in good areas & they will cause that United back 4 a ton of problems (Coz quite frankly , they're useless)

If Spurs Boss the middle of the park, we should win this game without too many problems, both defenses are shaky but Kane, Sonny, Moura, Dele, NDombele & Sissoko are miles better than anything they have

So come on boys, high expectations tonight coz this is a game your new boss doesn't wanna lose

Dier and Sissoko

that midfield is shocking, neither know how to stay back. Dier has lot it and Sissoko is naturally box to box

Jose will go solid / try to tighten the leaky defence and build from there with counter attacks. Simply if we don't concede we win...obvs but you know what I mean. Son, Moura and Dele running at the United defence should score goals.

With that in mind, I can't see him starting Ndombele. It'll be the same back four as Bournemouth with Dier and Sissoko in the 2 with Sissoko told not to join in any attacks.

Not sure how Dier gets in any line up on current form. He is slow and cumbersome, and gives away the ball far too often with misplaced passes. Need a lot more mobility in midfield, that is why it is so easy to get at the Spurs back four. Not rocket science to see that.

I wouldn't start him. Just saying what I think Jose will do.

phenom,

yeah very true re the midfielders not staying back

I feel if Jose really drills them well, Ndombele & Sissoko could be absolute monsters for us akin to the Wanyama & Dembele season

You'd think that could work best for sure. Although that Dembele/Wanyama partnership was with 5 at the back with the two full backs at the top of their game. We need a quality DM with Ndombele.

To be fair this area was a problem before Dier came back into the team.

Think we might see Winks for Ndombele tonight. Alli Kane and Son up top. Usual back 4 with only choice being Rose or Vertonghen.

You'd like to think our record signing & highest profile new player for ages would be picked to start against a bang average United with a joke manager. United are cr@p.... Its not like we are going to Anfield or City & his competition for a start is Dier, Winks & Sissoko. If he's not injured and doesn't play then serious questions need to be asked re our scouting !
