I’d rather have Roofe with Bamford than an on loan youngster - however good he maybe, Eddie. Eddies great I’d just prefer we still had Kemar.

VOF, as I recall, Roofie was in last year of his contract. His agent was pushing for wage parity with Hattrick Bamford. The club did not appear willing to pay him that amount.

And he was off - QED?!?!

As for Phillips improvement. I and others near me thought the season before MB got to him he was a good player, just needed better coaching & maybe players around him. But no way did we think he could develop & improve as much as he has. Who cares who’s right or wrong, I just think it’s great to see the guy doing so well - and he’s a decent lad to boot ..... everyone’s a winner 👍👍

Don't be so negative, much more fun to take digs at others and proclaim what a jenius (sic) one was for predicting everything correctly!

Roofe was played out of position for most of his time at Leeds pre bielsa. He beefed up a bit worked on his holding the ball up and did really well for us last season. I thought his lack of pace would restrict him as a striker, but alround play and work rate overcame that. He was a loss in the summer, we’ll find out if it’s a costly one by the end of the season.

Re Phillips, he was terrible when he first came into the side. I certainly didn’t see the player he has become... some of it is circumstance though. All our midfielders looked terrible at that time... and a big part of it was they had no one to pass to. With the system we play now, there are always receivers available... it lets takent flourish and maybe flatters a few too.... the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

Most off the team has improved under Bielsa, he's the making off this team and anyone that says different should open their eyes!..

And looking at what Roofe says he's more or less saying he's the best there is!..

A lot off players and manacoaches in "the modern game" saying the same!..

Ok Germany...I will open my eyes when the coach
