Can't Blame Jose (Yet)

We can't (or shouldn't) blame Jose for last night's abject performance.

Almost in the same way that Poch shouldn't have carried the can for the poor performances and results this season.

Our problems stem from recruitment (or lack of) and until this is resolved, we will not improve.

Aurier is a ridiculously poor player and desperately needs to be replaced - this was more than evident last season. Jan is being asked to fill in at left back, because the club did not have the foresight (or desire) to invest in (and strengthen) this position in the summer.

We're still relying on Sissoko in midfield who, quite frankly, would struggle to get into any of the other top 6 sides.

We lack creativity and the player that we used to rely on for this (Eriksen) can no longer be relied upon.

We need to strengthen in January (if possible) and certainly in the summer. Until we do, our struggles will continue no matter who the manager is.

Most of us on here know how much this squad has been neglected, Levy refused to spend while Poch was there, always his intention to get a so called name manager in for when we moved to the new stadium, Poch massively over achieved on the budget he had, now its Mourinhos turn be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming window

agree with article. said on another thread we have at least half a dozen players who wouldnt look out of place in a team fighting relegation who are getting regular minutes...while very good players like Lo Celso and Ndombele are getting limited game time.

The issue is January isn’t always the best time to bring in quality we need better players than we have not the same level

the issue, as usual is individual facking errors. never have i known a club that likes shooting themselves in the foot as much as this one. it don't matter how good the players we have are, as soon as they play for spurs they make regular fack ups.

aurier no tracking on rashford for the first goal? wtf... and as for gazza...

second goal, with the half time team talk ringing in their ears, facking sissoko makes a stupid, needless tackle in the box.

honestly how facking dumb are our players.

not gonna blame sissoko, because if he didn't give away a pen then aurier would have just given one away anyway so it wouldn't have mattered.

as for the management, how much evidence does one need that winks and sissoko in a 2 DOES NOT WORK. facking basics.

Up the Spurs.

excuses excuses...why do we keep saying our squad is bad when even in it's current state the first team is better than most teams line ups.

Who in that Man U team starts for Spurs? Rashford Maguire De Gea. Apart from that I make it 8 better players.

Quit blaming the quality of our players. That's not the reason we lost to brighton, villa, colchester, Man U. Its purely down to team selection and tactics.

Sissoko is one of our most important players.
If you do not know why, ask......and I will educate you.
Oh yes, and hint for the ignorant on here....
