1/12 on to get promoted

Six points in next two homes, and personally think it’s done.

And I fully expect to get them

What a bizarre thought, Bera in the Phillips role, there's no indication he could fulfil that role.

Interestingly, most people, myself included, thought Berardi had a good game yesterday, Jack Robshaw, Graham Smyth and Beren Cross all disagreed.

tought berardi had a decent game too. but white has been one of our best players and if in his position huddersfield wouldn't have had a sniff.
els, do you think ben had a good game? i think he was only so-so.

Interesting comment on White, Mont, I thought he looked uncomfortable, especially in the first half. Perhaps a lot of his confidence comes from playing alongside Coops. He looked half the player yesterday.

White struggled, playing out of position? I thought it was a good point made that White plays with greater confidence at CB because he is playing with experienced hands like Cooper. There could be a lot to that - but also maybe it might be a mistake to compare him with Kalvin, who quietly does so much so well. There will be some tempting offers for Phillips in January, I'd imagine - if an untried Clarke went for 9, then he's got to be worth 30 million or more in today's ridiculously inflated market. Any problems re FFP wiped out at a stroke.

And surely if the Qataris are really interested, they'd need to put up more than a paltry ten million for a preliminary stake? That's not going to go very far, is it?

Don't get me wrong - selling Phillips would be a blunder of seismic proportions - but I wonder what he might be worth now?

Jaz63, the reason Hudds had such an aggressive flow against us, was due to us not having the best defender in the league at the back and the best defensive midfielder in midfield.

And also because our key players forgot how to pass and control the ball.

Pablo, Klich, White are all players we rely on to play out of trouble, receive the ball under pressure and beat the press. In the first half they were all awful on the ball.

Huddersfield played very well first half but had we been playing to our usual standard we would have beaten the press more often, had more possession and created more chances.

Max, if Forshaw fit and we were offered 35 mill for Philips, would AR take it? Would fans snap their hands off?

It would not surprise me to see a situation similar to Clarke with a loan back for rest of season.

pay £35 mill for a player, then loan him back

One major reason Phillips is valued so highly by the club is because I think Bielsa staying on for this season was directly tied to whether we kept hold of Phillips or not. I think that works both ways too, had we not kept hold of Bielsa, no way would Phillips have stayed.

So when considering an offer for Phillips, do you have to accept value worth losing Phillips (obviously) but also Bielsa too?

I don't think we need excess signings in January. If a quality number 10 is on the table then I'd say yes, but only if it's someone who can.slot straight into the way Bielsa plays. If Nketiah leaves then I'd be looking at Ivan Toney at Peterborough who is having a superb season personally.

Don't think we need a new defender. Just need to keep Cooper and Davis fit more regularly. Been impressed with Ayling when he's played CB this year. think his off the ball game has dramatically improved under Bielsa.
