Kane found his shooting boots

Morning All... Just a quickie, obviously Son's goal stole all the headlines (rightly so) but thought it was great to Kane back smacking them in from distance !! Felt like it had been part of his game that had been missing for the past 12 months. Obviously he has a sledge hammer of a right foot and playing like he does (dropping a little deeper to let Son, Dele & Moura run past him will hopefully allow those runs to take defenders away giving him more opportunities like Saturday.

Keep it up boys, a good run over Christmas (especially with a win over Chelsea) and top 4 might not be beyond us

Also well played Jose. Thought it was interesting that he said after the United game that the players were sad/ upset. He wanted the players pi55ed of and angry & demanded a reaction..... That's a winners mentality !!!!. Who knows whether all this is sustainable but right now the players seem happy, the football is more direct & positive (Less facking about in our own half/ penalty area).

If only we could figure out what to do with GLC & NDombele, but right now, its a nice problem to have. Gotta give him credit, thought Sissoko played well and took his goal really well..... More of that please, don't bother with all the complicated stuff like passing...... Route 1 runs.. straight at goal from advanced areas !!!

Yep very tough game Saturday, Wolves are flying.

Maybe Arsenal can do us a favor and make a run at Nuno this week after they get beat tonight
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As long as they don’t get him. Think he’d be a pretty astute appointment for them.

agreed.... Don't think he'd join them, they're a mess. Would imagine it will be Vieira

Didn't realise how far behind he was in the PL top scorers chart. That must be annoying him massively.

Moussa Sissoko only needs 263 more goals to overtake jimmy greaves and become our all time top scorer!

Is'nt Sol available? Surely they not racist and will give him the job?

we are in uncharted territory where Sissoko is concerned.... I think all those endangered people in Row Z are just glad he's getting it on target

He’s too busy picking the peanuts out of his poo while reading the sackfuls of hate mail that come through his letterbox every morning.

Its been good so far, but you have to look long term.

Counter attack is not the primary tactic of most successful teams. Leicester won the league this way but it was a bit of a freak season.

The team looks quite balanced at the moment but many of our frustrations in the past 12 months has been the inability to break down a determined deep sitting defence. Teams will come out and play even less against us if our counter attack becomes the deadliest of weapons. We still need the ability to control games and break down teams who do not come at us. Slightly odd that Burnley had more possession than us, at home in a 5-0 win. While possession is not always a key indicator to success, it does allow you to control games better and that will enable us to better manage a game, see out games, hold on to leads etc.

What is good is that before teams were seeing our weaknesses and preying on them, now they will be fearful of having a go at us as we've become frightening on the counter attack. But need to continue to evolve and there will be games where the superior passing and skill of the likes of GLC, NDombele and Lamela will be preferable to the pace of Lucas and the power of Sisokko.

This is the side of the game that wonder about with Jose. When it was difficult for Utd to break down teams, he just brought on Fellaini up front and went longer still. I am hoping the links with this guy are just lazy journalism because i dont want him or those tactics as our plan B.

Because of our poor start and Poch going Kane’s form has gone under the radar this season. He’s actually scored 15 for Spurs so far (9 PL, 6 CL), as well as quite a few for England - don’t know how many, at least 6. That’s +20 goals for club & country by early December. Now that the team have their attacking confidence back I expect him to get between 22 and 25 goals this season. Vardy running away with the Golden Boot though, 16 already.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure Kane has 25 in 26 for club and country this season.
