We had our work secret Santa today and I ended up getting a hand signed book insert certificate by Jimmy Greaves with a certificate of authenticity to go with it. not overly thrilled with it if I'm honest... could be worth a fair whack though in future!

i wanted to know what the best and worst presents you've received / given for secret santa and also what reeeeeaaaaally pisssses during this joyous annual occasion

I'll tell you what does my tree in, people obsessed with guessing who had who

I got some ropey old tart in our office a vibrating c0 (k ring once. Her leathery face lit up.

What's she gonna do with that?

Christmas music gets on my tiiits pretty quickly, not Christmas carols, which I quite like, but stuff like Wizard, Slade, Paul McCartney, Jonah Lewie, Mariah Carey etc

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Ebenezer Scrooge, and I don’t mind some Christmas songs – Band Aid, Wham, Pretenders. It’s just that its inescapable and you just hear it all the time.

It’s probably partly to do with the fact I worked part time in a supermarket while at Uni and heard those songs ad nauseam over Christmas.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christmas for me is part three of stupid events that get right on my fackin ttits
Halloween. ..oh my god don't get me started....bonfire night not much better, then to cap it off the most ridiculous charade ever Christmas...I detest it and everything it stands for...I long for boxing day when the footy is on after a round of golf in the morning

New years eve would probably be banned too if I was Emperor...over expensive ridiculous waste of time just to see in a different day....it's all bollux

At least we're spared thanksgiving...but give it time
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You are worse than me Sheriff

Halloween is bearable, just keep your lights out so passing kids don’t knock on your door expecting anything.

Christmas is ok, I quite like Christmas dinner but family gatherings I don’t really like.

Agreed NYE is a complete waste of time. If i’m going out it’s local. Just a freezing cold night where everywhere is expensive and any place you go is packed

Only me and another guy at the site we're based so Secret Santa wouldn't be very secret. Maybe a quick grope in the bushes instead.

I picked up some shifts on a bar at the Manchester Christmas markets to help out with wedding savings. 8 or 9 hour shift, nothing too painful. But the playlist of Crimbo songs was about 50 mins. I swear it was some form of Chinese torture listening to Shakin Stevens 8 times a day.
