are usually two or three thousand below the capacity of 61,000 plus, even though they have all been posted as sold out. Saturday for example was supposed to be a sell out, and then the Official attendance went up as 58,401. In fact the only game of over 60,000 this season was on the opening day against Aston Villa.
Now it seems season ticket holders must be putting their tickets on Ticket Exchange and then not selling them, which means that nearly 3,000 were absent on Saturday, something not right there, didn`t see a lot of empty seats, but obviously the price of some tickets on Ticket Exchange must be far too high, surely it would be better if they told season ticket holders they can sell their tickets at half price or something like that, surely better than not selling them at all. I get also that some may be corporate that are also not being sold.
Would be great if every seat could be occupied, 3,000 not being used is far to high, maybe have a rethink re season ticket holders, say if supporters are continually putting their tickets on Ticket Exchange, they would not be allowed to renew the following season. Plenty of members I am sure would like to get to a game, but cannot get tickets, or not at the price they want.
Thoughts on how to fill the stadium to its actual capacity.
PS The fella next to me on Saturday, came into his seat right on kick-off, left it at half time and never returned. Never said a word to me either. I reckon it was Sizzle, had the hump because we were winning 3-0.

Yes 58,000 was an absolutely belting crowd Hounslows, especially just before Xmas. But I am asking why the game was supposedly sold out, there should really be 61,000 at the match. I am trying to attain where the 3,000 stayaways were/are.

When you consider the lack of success in the last 30 years Spurs support is outrageous.
People must be addicted to the pain!

Spurs were getting 70,000 gates in the old 2nd division days of the 1940s, so shows they have always had a huge support whether playing good or bad.

On this subject plenty of empty seats at the Athletics stadium for a London derby.
Another just under 60k attendance.

I would assume 3000 ticket holder’s probably decided to go Xmas shopping instead. It’s only 5% of the crowd. 95% attendance against Burnley just before Xmas on a Saturday is pretty good.
At least we don’t say the attendance is 61k like Arsenal would
