Can't help but to be excited about the league table. As far as i can see the largest gap we had ahead of third last season was 6 points. Currently as we know it's 11 although Forest with their game in hand could make it 9.
The note of caution though has to be the fact that although we were 6 points ahead we finished 6 points below second place and there was a 12 point swing from starting around this time last season to the end of the season. Let's not start discussing stadium requirements and the signings of mbappe just yet!
Over the past 11 seasons the
Average points of championship champions was 93.5 points
Average points of championship runners up was 88.0 points
Average points of championship 6th place was 74.1 points
90 points in all seasons guaranteed automatic promotion.
25 games to go............
28 points to have a good chance of claiming a playoff place
44 points to nigh on nail automatic promotion.
13 more wins........
The gap

Was confident we would win the league before the season started. And after seeing White for 2 minutes I knew we would

Always thought Cardiff would be a problem for that reason Kebab

I am not too worried by Cardiff. They were beaten by Brentford at the weekend and they are vulnerable to the kind of pacy counter-attacks we specialise in.

Be surprised if we can’t get 15 wins

This was why, from the QPR game, I stated to my son we would win 9 of the next 10. 8 out of 8 so far, but the key one was the last one - Fulham away.
There are then some really tricky ties for us. The ones I single out - Birmingham, WBA, QPR, all away.
Victories in any of those games would be huge - but I fear this will be our first real wobble of the season. And then February - the number of games in that short space of time is going to be really difficult.
But between now and the end of the season, I think we will get 15 victories and pick up a few draws - 95 points on the cards

I think so many games in such a short time will be the same pressure for any team in the league, so our problems will be theirs!..
Our confidence at this moment should be sky high, WBA drew their last but their confidence will still be high, I think the New Year game will be massive!..

very good points Germany. If we continue this and pick up an extra two points from just this one game (alongside WBA) that would be unreal
