I was a fan but I'm sick of Dier now. He has one gear and the recent game time has not improved his mobility, speed or reading of the game.
If AJ can lose 9lbs of muscle for a boxing match then surely Dier can do something similar. Yesterday was further evidence that you dont need a big muscular DM, you need a well rounded player with energy, mobility and a quick mind. Although the EPL offers a different challenge, most oppo. don't offer a big physical threat that needs to be countered with muscle. More a case of them pressurising you on the ball, which requires a technical ability to counter.
Dier needs to specialise as a CB and i am no longer bothered whether he does that at Spurs or not.
Skipp seems to offer much more energy and mobility. While not the greatest technician he's comfortably better than Dier. Currently i'd say our best option if we are truly going down a DM route.

Agree with this, Dier is our worse player atm and Jose needs to quit trying to play him into form asap, he's slow and unfit
Skipp looked 10x better simply by being able to get around the pitch quicker
DM needs to be no 1 priority in January

Skipp is being put on the pitch before he's ready.
As for Foyth ..... he was made to look like a lightweight,slow moving, sparrow last night.
Was it Coman and Coutinho who were blasting past him all night and turning him around in circles.
Foyth was a disaster!
