I don`t even think O`Sullivan has ever been on the shortlist, which is scandalous

Fair play to Stokes, he's had to rebuild his reputation and has done so with action on the pitch providing a couple of unforgettable memories.

It's a shame his heroics in the 3rd test match in the Ashes weren't enough to regain the Ashes.

Dina Asher-Smith is an incredible athlete who had an incredible year but no one was going to take this award from Stokes.
