That's how you do it Levy

A player having a medical at Liverpool two weeks before the transfer window opens. Granted he looks like more of a squad player.

But isn't this infinitely better than messing around on deadline day going for a combination of players we will never get and players we wouldn't consider if we weren't desperate?

There is no point having a serial winner as manager if we don`t give him the tools required to do his job. But you don`t have to spend a fortune to find the right players to do the job, there are plenty of bargains out there if you scout properly.

Levy is more interested in the NFl than anything else.

Levy has done well last few months, he has got rid of a manager that was hurtling Spurs towards the bottom three, and hired a manager that has Spurs about to climb into the top four.

What`s the problem?

Levy is one of them shoppers whom goes into Tesco 1 hour before closing to get cheap deals on food that expires the next day. Tight facker.

He's got a business to run which he does pretty well. The club us run well and we have some of the best facilities in the world. We have now a serial winner as a manager. Yet some people are never happy.

On the budget which is probably £400million or so less than Liverpool's spent, we managed top 4, 5 years in a row, not even Liverpool managed that, and have already made CL final. Not spent in few markets but still managed CL final. Not everything that shines is gold and that's true of Liverpool.

Again, your spend in the last five years is in the same ballpark as Liverpool's.

Liverpool are just better managed from top to bottom.

Levy gets far too much stick from spurs fans who must not remember the bollox we sat through with the previous ownership.

he does deserve criticism for some aspects, but he has overall done an amazing job. evidence is where we were before ENIC took over, and the club that we are now... and all of it has been grown organically and without sugar daddy money available.

outstanding chairman

The stick he gets is fair. We have been a top 4 established club for about a decade now and he has done little to bridge the gap to try and get us trophies in that time even while having our best ever PL manager in charge. Now we have on paper, an even better manager with a track record of winning stuff, there is absolutely nowhere else for him to hide if he treats Mourinho like he did Poch and we fail to win trophies.

We were ahead of Liverpool in our progress to win a PL title a few seasons back and now they're going to win it this season and have already won the CL. They have shown us how to do things for the last few seasons. Not just this new guy coming in on the 1st of Jan, you only have to look at their past summer windows to see many of their signings are done on the 1st of July. They are very efficient with their level of organisation and planning and no surprise it's led to results on the pitch. Our planning, or lack of it has led to a manager losing his job and a chase to get back in the top 4. Bravo Levy

This is a lie from Levy, yes we spend more than other leagues we are the richest but the rest are far behind.

Premier league spent £1.4b
La Liga spent £1.2b
Serie A spent £1.06b
Bundesliga spent £670m

Of the top 10 spending clubs last summer only 3 were from the PL
