So this is probably the greatest Leicester team based on technical ability I’ll ever see. 2nd in the league and in the semis of the league cup beautiful. But who is our best player in our best team ever?
It’s Pereira. But you may disagree, and therefore pick your man from the list below and ague your case
I’m not asking for the best player over the last 10 years, I want to know who is the current best player in our squad now. This season and under Rodgers.
Vote based on the following, and state your reason why
1. Pereira (obvs)
2. Vardy - he scores goals with an obscene conversion rate
3. Maddison - Raw and erratic, but hugely influential
4. Ndidi - beast of a player and often overlooked due to his role
5. Evans - best defender in the premier league
Obvious mentions to Kasper (just for a Nev). Tielemans, Chilwell and Soyuncu can all lay claim in the future, but right now they are raw and developing in the game the players above are peak performers and influence every single game.

Agree on Pereira but Vardy is more important. He'll be very difficult to replace.
Evans is a very good defender but if course not the best in the league.

Good debate. Pereira is a better player than Vardy. I didn’t say our most important, I said our best.
Good clarification on Evans Dunge. I meant best centreback, which he clearly is.

I can't agree that Evans is better than VVD, who has transformed Liverpool from also rans to cantering away with the league.
However, he is definitely up there as he has had a similar impact on our defence given that we have an untried CB with him and two FBs who were defensively not the best.

Ok, maybe on a par with VVD defensively would have been a fair point. I accept VVD is better on the ball, spraying passes around and looking general moody.

I’m really surprised that there is no mention of Praet and Benkovic in the OP.
Clearly the author has fallen out of love with Fuchs as well.

Lols Joby. Fuchs is still a rolls Royce of a footballer but I was clear about today’s team. In all seriousness, Fuchs still shows Chilwell what it’s like to be able to defend.
Praet and Benkovic ‘will my be our greatest ever players, but not yet. Not yet.
As for King, well we all know he’s our greatest ever player, but that’s another debate.
And genuinely, whilst I think Vardy is our most important player, I genuinely don’t believe he is our ‘best’ player. To continue to be serious (just so it’s harder to work out when I am an not, although in this instant it’s easy as I’m telling you)... there’s no denying that Vardy has become one of the best strikers in the premier league. Who would have seen that 5 seasons again. What credit he deserves for his development.

Who is our most technically accomplished player? That's a different question, to which I reckon the answer is Maddison. Maybe an argument for Tielemans or Ricardo, but it's Madders for me.
Of course if we included past squad members Kingy would be right up there.
