Martin Peters... sadly missed

Great player. Was the reason I swapped allegiance from West Ham to Spurs following his transfer, I think, in 1970. Stayed faithful to Spurs ever since.

Was about 10 or 11 at the time, so changing clubs was probably acceptable at that age.

Again, memorable player, who was at the time billed as "10 years ahead of his time"

Rest in peace.

RIP Martin.

One of my earliest memories of Peters as a very young United fan was watching him score 4 goals at Old Trafford. Must have been c.1972. My last was his role as a hospitality host in a box at WHL where he was with Chivers and Mabbutt and was fantastic... even though we were supporting United.
