what do Spurs and Everton have in common

Great managers and shiite teams

Everton yeah, spurs not so much, they're a good team.

Managers that were great maybe. Mourinho's been schooled by Lampard and, more worryingly for him, Ole in the last month alone.

Has been great manager and potential good side ruined by lack of investment in key eras in spurs case.

Everton just wannabes at the moment.

I'm actually not sure Ancelotti is all that great tbh. 4 league titles in a career where he's managed top, top teams throughout. In terms of name value, he's a great appointment for Everton. In terms of taking a group of players and consistently getting the best out of them, I'm not sure his record stands up. He's likable though, and I wouldn't be averse to him proving me wrong

His teams have massive complacent streaks in them (why he hasn't won many leagues) and it's definitely something he's doing, happened too many times with too many different sets of players - AC, Chelsea, Real, Napoli - all gone through long periods of poor form completely without warning.

Dropped two league titles on the last day + that CL Final vs. Liverpool aswell.

Like Jose's 3rd season syndrome it's definitely a thing with him, a caveat you have to bear when you choose to appoint him.

I must admit that it was amusing to see little Jose screaming and acting up on the sidelines again throughout most of the game!
As in the past, sooner or later his juvenile behavior will get him in trouble with fans and officials. I give him, at best, 12-18 months at Spurs before they buy him a plane ticket.
