Happy Christmas

Just like the match day thread thought I’d get it in a day early!

Love this time of year where everyone tries to get together with their families and goodwill flows. I’m Jewish but it doesn’t stop me enjoying the spirit of Christmas and wishing people a happy Christmas!

Would like to wish all at Leeds United of course a good Christmas.

Then the commentators like Popey, Whelan and the YEP team who keep us posted with insight from ER.

The ja606 team for providing us this platform for discussion.

But most of all the fans, not just Leeds but all clubs who make the sport what it is, the tribal feeling, the songs, the charity walks, the rants on bbc 606 phone ins etc etc

Happy Christmas and Hanukkah to all and any other festivals to any other groups I didn’t know about at this time!

I’m not an expert, I’m learning as I go, but it’s rewarding to learn as you go.

Have boy called Meal on a Saturday with physical and learning difficulties, he’s early 20s but needs permanent career. Mum does a lot of activities for him so we discount so it’s a bit easier for them. We do pretty basic Stu me throwing balls at him and him trying to avoid them, he loves it! But over time he’s gotten more flexible he has developed better concentration and a sense of completion, it’s my favourite session of the week.

I wanted him to get more ready ie bouncing on toes when waiting fir ball so I put a pack of tic tacs in his pocket so I could hear if he was bouncing, he loved it and of course kept the tic tacs and we have a laugh about it, such simple things show that happiness isn’t from materialism, money or power, but empathy, kindness and honesty.

Yeah it’s great to do something you enjoy, I feel humbled that parents choose to bring their kids to us l, especially if they came to us from other clubs and I
Like being able to help the kids develop character and sometimes even better relationships with their parents. In jan I’m going to work on a school delivering strength academy for free for special needs kids. We have quite a few special needs kids in our programme, parents are desperate as other sports have turned them away, we integrate into our regular sessions, and you see the kids grow and the other kids develop a better understanding of others.

I see us as being in business if developing character and we teach a bit of tennis along the way!

Happy Christmas Jonty and all 👍

I too love this time of year, I have 4 kids, two of which are teenagers but the other two still ‘believe’ magical all round.

Of course the other benifits are time off work, the cold winter nights in watching plenty of football, and a few festivity’s resulting in hang overs.. bravo

Genius, Jonty! That tic-tac idea could almost have come from Bielsa.

Merry Christmas, everyone. I have everything crossed that 2020 will be our promotion year! It’s hard to believe that it will be 10 years since our promotion from league one.

Merry Christmas to all. Greetings from the dark, cold north. Where Santa passes by. Every year.

Not because it's cold and dark. But because we are naughty. Every year.
