James Milner

Voted the second most Iconic player of the decade, well done to him

I'm not taking away from the fact that milner has been and still is a good player, but is he iconic? Will we in 10-20 years still look back at him as being one of THE players of the Premier league, like we do with Shearer, Henry, Bergkamp, Zola, Cantona, etc etc. I doubt it, he's never been a star player in any team he's played in

Wouldn't have even been on rthe list if he hadn't played for City.

Who?

Only getting the recognition now he’s been at Liverpool for how long?

It’s funny that he wouldn’t stay at City even though he was offered a new deal because he wanted to play more. Yet he’s happy to stay at Liverpool as a bit part player, being played out of position.

Suppose playing for a big club means more than playing for a small club that throws money at it!

I've been told by sniffers that we are European champs because the standard in Europe has fallen.

So basically, all of football is currently at a poor level, which explains what we are witnessing.

I look forward to being told that the premier league isn’t a major trophy, if we go on to win it.

Yeah, Liverpool offering him more money plus a huge signing on fee played no part in his decison to change from a regular starter at City to a bench specialist at Liverpool.

Maybe he just wanted a chance to win the European Cup.

Like Foden however he kept getting praise and told he was a main player but didn't get the games. Then when it looked like he wasn't going to sign they started giving him games but he didn't fall for it and moved to Liverpool to become a European and World Champion. Wouldn't mind taking Foden off you, considering. Maybe he'll look at Milner and think it is a move that has paid off.

Do to them what they did to us with Sterling, yeah I'd go for that. I think he's a great prospect.

Great pro, for me not even the most iconic CM of the past decade though.
