Was actually a better performance today

Was definitely more aggression in our play and we were far far better off the ball.

Thought Xhaka had another decent game.

Should have really won the game where we actually created some chances.

Quite excited by Arteta and how he expects the team to play

Our defence was still not great but the crossing and finishing was absolutely shocking, if we had been more clincal in the final third we would have had at least four.
One would have thought Lacazette would have wanted to prove a point having been left out recently - maybe he was rusty, I don't know, but he was absolutely abysmal in front of goal and the others weren't good either

We haven’t won in eleven league games!

Yes we have.

Sorry, we have won once in eleven games. My mistake

Christmas day drinking can get to the best of us

We've won 1 in 14 in all competitions. If we dont get anything from Chelsea and Man U we really could be in the relegation scrap.

Not going to blame Arteta for today’s loss, as he’s come into a highly unenviable situation with a group of players that are very weak-minded. But drawing to a Bournemouth side depleted with injuries and 16th in the division is not a good result.

There are positives to take (less likely to concede on the counter, 17 shots, dominating the ball...) but it’s a poor outcome. There’s a lot of work for Arteta to do. I hope he can turn our fortunes around quickly.

Another fan that’s had a bang on the head.

Our away fans were excellent today as usual.

Now more than ever we all need to get behind the team and keep supporting them, the fans need to help us make the Emirates a fortress starting with Chelsea - regardless what you think of the Kroenke's and our other high-level footballing staff.

Arteta has shown great promise with the first performance he got out of the players today, there was a big turnaround in the effort of the players, even from Ozil which was pretty shocking. He deserves the fans to get behind the team properly again.

I think some of us don't realise just how bad things had gotten. There was a lot more fluency in our play yesterday and that should be celebrated. Results don't come until the end, and unfortunate as it is for this season, I'd rather we fixed things properly than paper of the cracks.

I completely agree about fixing things properly and giving Arteta time. However, I also feel like our ‘competitors’ for top 4 are not anything special and if we could string some results together, it would boost our confidence massively to give us belief we can actually get a CL place.

I’m not convinced Chelsea will last the season, meanwhile Spurs and United are also inconsistent too.

It’s unlikely, but I don’t believe we’re out of the running for top 4 just yet. We still have an outside chance.

It's done Samir. This season and we need to accept that is a complete write off.

We would probably have to get to 70 points to have a chance of top 4. That means we will need to get 46 points from 57 which is extremely unlikely considering we have to play Chelsea home and away, Man United home, Liverpool and Spurs away, Leicester home and Wolves away. Even in our Invincible season we dropped more than 9 points in the 2nd half of the season. I think it was 14.

Sorry supposed to say more than 11 points.

I actually think this will be a season where less than 70 points will be enough for top 4. But I see your point. It is unlikely. But you never know what a bit of confidence can do. If we can beat Chelsea, we are 5 pts behind them with 18 matches to go. It won’t be easy, but it won’t be insurmountable.

If we don’t get positive results from the next two games, then yeah the season is a write off and we should focus on Europa
