Big game. A chance to move 20 points clear in the race for a top four spot, and keep alive our slim hopes of ending our PL trophy drought
—————————————————
It's second hosting first in the Premier League on Boxing Day as Leicester City welcome Liverpool to the King Power Stadium.
Coming just five days after visiting champions Manchester City, it is a nightmare festive run for the Foxes who saw their long unbeaten run end at the Etihad Stadium.
Leicester City: Harvey Barnes could be fit after injuring his ankle in a clash with goalkeeper Ederson in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Manchester City but will be hoping to be available against the Reds. Matty James is training after his Achilles problem but remains short of match fitness and is likely to be loaned out in January.
Liverpool: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out until the new year with ankle ligament damage sustained in Saturday's Club World Cup win over Flamengo in Qatar. Centre-backs Dejan Lovren (hamstring) and Joel Matip (knee) and midfielder Fabinho (ankle) are also not expected to return until January.
Georginio Wijnaldum was an unused substitute against Flamengo after being ruled fit enough to return from a hamstring problem sustained against Watford, and he could come into contention for a start against the Foxes.
Liverpool have won 14 of their 27 Premier League meetings with Leicester, losing seven and drawing six.
The last two games at Anfield have been tight, with Liverpool winning 2-1 back in October and drawing 1-1 last season.
LFC team v Leicester: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Subs: Adrian, Milner, Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi, Jones, Williams.

We completely butchered them.

Totally outclassed them, so much control of the game. Thats with Mane and Salah playing well below their usual standards.

Its the best ive seen us play since barca at anfield.
From the first minute we made them look ordinary. Nobody should think leicester were poor, they were utterly taken apart.
All vardy could do was chase down our cbs all night, utterly futile but he never gave up.

Not sure why the pundits are spending so much time talking about the pen decision. It is clear handball surely. No excuse for having your hand there when the ball is coming from half the width of the pitch away.

There used to be a train of thought that arsenal fans on this site were the worst
However over the last couple of years a group of your fans numbering around 9 or 10 have made sure you’ve taken their crown, mainly on match threads
Any fan of another team comes on and they’re off like a pack of attack dogs, just hurling abuse and shouting for bans
Totally the opposite to our match threads
Enjoy your title, bye children
