On Sunday Wolves travel to Liverpool to take on the league leaders.

Currently sitting in 5th place in the table after battering Man City on Friday evening, Wolves have another big challenge with this game. Despite having the joint smallest squad in the league and juggling domestic games with Europa League commitments, Liverpool are the only side to have lost less games than Wolves so far this season.

Sitting at the top of the table with a comfortable 13 point lead over 2nd placed Leicester with a game in hand, Liverpool are yet to lose a game and have only dropped 2 points (to Man U) since the start of the season.

With the hosts in such scintillating form it’s difficult to imagine any visiting manager having thoughts in mind which are any more ambitious than damage limitation. Nuno Espirito Santo however knows only one way to play the game. He will undoubtedly be reciting his usual press conference mantra of “We are ready to compete, to play our way, to control the ball and the game" and why not, he just did it against the current champions.

Due to the short respite between games, both managers are expected to make changes to their line ups. However with the quality that Jurgen Klopp has in his squad whatever side he picks will present a serious challenge to Nuno.

The game will be shown live on Sky.

Gem’s prediction: 3-1

Watford 3 up against Villa. Think Watford may well stay up despite being bottom for much of the season. But things starting to look bleak for Villa

The thing about all this great football and amazing results like last night is that you get slightly frustrated that we've dropped two places ahead of playing the world and European champions. Of course the league table after 20 games means very little and there's plenty of swings and roundabouts to be played on over the coming months.

Just hope we give them a game tomorrow, the worry is the lack of preparation time which is a big thing for Nuno and his staff. We won't be winging it tomorrow but it will have been virtually impossible to recover and prepare properly in the time between matches.

Klopp has said he intends making changes to his team tomorrow because they have only had 3 days between games. Leicester made 9 changes today and won away. Us having only 2 days means I can’t believe we will field anywhere near a full strength team.

I just popped over to the Liverpool board to see what they were saying on their matchday thread. Sadly I found threads concerned with the Titanic and the honours system.
I find it quite sad that fans get so used to winning that the excitement of a forthcoming game is lost. Or perhaps Wolves are just perceived as insignificant by Liverpool fans?
