on loan

Derbyshire live report we are after a loan player called Cameron carter-Vickers.his home club is spurs and he has been on loan at stoke but spurs are recalling his loan there due to lack of games under their new manager.he has also had loan spells at sheffield united.ipswich and Swansea.if the loan to derby was a good one spurs could sell for £4 million.for me after loans to 4 clubs and he cant get in a stoke team...… a bit of a risk

A risk if the intention would be for him to be first choice centre half. He’s mainly played at right back for Stoke. I wonder if this means that Bogle is leaving. The rumours about Benkovic from Leicester have been strong so maybe both of these will come in. Along with Wisdom they cover right back/right CB between them with Davies dropping out.

Thought we'd have Bale by now TBH.

Have to say his CV isn't all that impressive. The words "£4M, avin a larf" spring to mind.

Best spell was at CB for Swansea. Regarded as a decent ball passing defender which we're after.

It’s pretty clear we are in great need of a centre half and that there is a list of possibles. Also Cocu has said he is really keen to do business as early as possible in January. Maybe this player is second choice if we can’t get Benkovic, or maybe we want both, especially if Bogle leaves. We don’t want it to get like it did at the end of the last window when we didn’t get any of the wide players we wanted and the only one left in the bargain bin was Paterson.

Bargain bin, more like fire sale.

He can't get into Stoke's 18 man squad, no thank you. If we sign any players they have to be better than we already have and would be in the starting 11.

Please Mel don't waste any more money on poor players, we already have enough of them now.

It would be on loan not a purchase VC, as hinted at in the title of the article, so not much of Mel’s money to be wasted. I haven’t seen any of him to the best of my knowledge but he’s young and I would worry if we had a defence full of relatively inexperienced players. As a half-season loan to cover centre and right back it would hardly be pushing the boat out though and you never know he might surprise us.

I know it's a loan, but we still have to pay them however bad they are and we had to pay £1 million for Harry last season. That was not a waste by the way once he got going.

We need to bring in players to start, we've got plenty of backups.

Well if it were up to me I would buy Rob Dickie and then Davies can be back-up. But if we have to sell Bogle to fund it then we need to find some cover at right back. Maybe Lawrence leaving could fund it and then a lot of people would be very happy. As with Ince, he’s a player that divides opinion but he’s the type of player that usually finds takers because of what he can do (on a good day).
