With Top Four all but gone now with

the disastrous Christmas Period done and dusted, and just four points out of 12, time to start reshaping the team going forward.

Obvious there are so many players not up to the quality to be starting. The new summer signings are all not good enough. Lo Celso, Sessignon, N`dombele a waste of money in reality, two not good enough, and one a permanent sicknote. With the Prem season all but over now, just a matter of getting enough wins to maybe sneak Europa for next season, so would be putting all my eggs into one basket and playing full strength as possible next week at Middlesbrough, which is an absolute banana skin the way the team are playing.

Most of the Prem will be playing weakened teams in the cup, so Spurs may as well target that competition now.

At the end of the season Jose can than have a really good clear out, and bring in his own players. Until then we will just have to put up with what we have.

Happy New Year everyone.

Yeh it don’t sound good at all. Sounds like everyone is frustrated with NDombele’s fitness levels.

Don't think it has anything to do with fitness.
NDombele has played for both the France U21 and for the France National team. Considered a substitute for Pogba. Deschamps wouldn't go near him if he wasn't fit.
I think he's having a run of bad luck with Spurs, and it could have more to do with Spurs famous Physio support! He is obviously a power player in midfield and we need him. Good partnership with Sissoko.

I've watched the Mourinho interview now. It is clear he is not happy with NDombele, but he was not happy - period! Clearly thought Alli had a penalty, etc. So his remarks on NDombele should be taken with a grain of salt.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho accused Tanguy Ndombele of 'always' being injured after his side's 1-0 defeat to Southampton. ... 'I cannot say that he is injured because in five minutes we start a training session that you could watch from the stands and he will be training normally,' said Mourinho.

If you ask me his days are are numbered at spurs already.

Ndombele's or Jose's?

So Mourinho is already having a go at his own players. Doesn't look good does it? He hasn't changed at all.

It was a pretty ragged match, neither side showing much talent, and a lot of niggling fouls. Dunno why people pay to go watch carp like this!
Agree with Mourinho that VAR has become "the referee" and the guy on the pitch is the Assistant.
Alli should have had a penalty.
And a draw would have been a fair result.

As for Spurs they badly need a play-maker in the middle, which NDombele was supposed to be, and a backup for Kane. And some new CBs.
Also god only knows what Sessignon was bought for .... the kid is useless at centering and crossing, and lacks confidence to go forward; absolutely no improvement over Danny Rose.
And Aurier, similarly needs to practice centering the ball.

On this showing Spurs are mid-table at best.

I think Levy and Mourinho are going to have a discussion about January!

this Xmas period has been classic spurs.... the easiest fixture list while all our rivals had really hard ones.. and we have completely facked it up.

beat Chelsea at home 10 days ago to move above them in the league... 10 days later we are 6 points behind them.... just another example of the lack of bottle of the team and the loser mentality that poisons the club.

no one can solve it

I was trying to be as optimistic as I could with the Mourinho appointment but tbh that optimism is rapidly diminishing. You can already see the typical boring Mourinho style football when watching us and he's starting to pick fights with players too. Poch may have lost the dressing room over 5 years, Mourinho looks like he's gonna do that in 5 months. And as for Levy, as I have always manintained...he's a c*nt and he's to blame

what's odd is that it isn't. Because everyone is a struggling we are still only 6 points off 4th. 3 consecutive wins is probably all we need but we cant do this for love or money.
