I think all his time being managed by Ferguson has made him the manager he is now. Problem is the game has moved on dramatically in recent years and Ferguson's tactics & philosophy would struggle today. He's not anywhere near as intimidating or talented as Ferguson was either.

Luiz just said in the interview that physically we arent at the best level and need to improve. Saw this in both games against Chelsea and today against United.

Yep. Similar to when Liverpool started out under Klopp, battered teams for about 30 mins and then ran out of steam. That'll improve over time.

I can't believe United paid £80m for Maguire. Soyuncu is miles better. Brilliant piece of business by Leicester.

What I mean is Soyuncu isn't as good this season as Maguire was at Leicester. Systems make players, especially defenders, look better or worse.

Well, yeah. Soyuncu is in a team with a better defensive system. Makes him look better. But as individuals Maguire is a better defender in the same system.

But isn't this an absolute disgrace. Half way into the season and Arsenal players lack the stamina to last 90 minutes, in the most physically demanding league in the world. Good thing Arteta was hired at this time.

Yep need to ask question about Emery'a regime.

GT has waited a lifetime for a moment like this

Soyuncu is a better defender than Maguire.
I always judge a defender in his 1v1 and there are not many defenders who can keep up with Salah and Mane and he was damn quick.

If you want to play a high line defence you need a player like VVD, Gomez or Soyuncu with recovery pace.

A system is important see City as an example were rubbish defenders look like world beaters but they are the only team with this keep the ball style defending.
