MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

This will be the 17th FA Cup match between Arsenal and Leeds and the first since January 2012, when the Gunners won 1-0 in the third round thanks to a goal from Thierry Henry.
Leeds are winless in six meetings - losing five of them - since a 3-2 victory at Highbury in the Premier League in May 2003.

Arsenal
Arsenal have progressed from the FA Cup third round in 22 of the past 23 seasons - their only failure coming in 2017-18 against Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners are the most successful side in the competition, having lifted the FA Cup on 13 occasions.
However, they have won just twice in 16 matches in all competitions (D9, L5).

Leeds United
Leeds won the FA Cup for the only time in 1972 by beating Arsenal 1-0 in the final.
This is a seventh successive away tie for Leeds - they've lost the last three, including at National League side Sutton United and Newport County of League Two.
The Whites have only lost once in 15 league games - but won just one of their past five.
Since being relegated from the Premier League in 2004, Leeds have played nine away FA Cup matches against top-flight opponents and won just once: 1-0 at Manchester United in January 2010.

Big Game for the Lads, Oldest Football Competition in the World so MB is rightfully putting out a reasonably strong squad and i'm sure Arteta will want to ensure they get a result against us so it should be a good game .

As much as i want us to concentrate on the League , I also want us to give a good account of ourselves no matter who we are playing and a sneaky win is not beyond the realms of possibility here
0-2 Scoreline Gotts and Bamford plus clean sheet for young Meslier

Arsenal is a mid-table PL team this season, and if that is the standard of mid table PL, if Leeds should go up, I think we will be ok

Hope that second half wasn't a sign of fatigue.

Nah.. I think Arsenal at last understood that they weren't up against an average championship side, and stepped up their game

Don't think we are 'average'.

As I am in an extremely good mood tonight, you are excused

Tonight was the first time I've been able to see leeds in 0eraon since Tony yeboah gave leeds a 1-0 win at home over chelsea.

Leeds were excellent tonight. They totally dominated arsenal first half and were under a lot of pressure second half. I have no.idea how arsenal managed to play the full 90 with 11 men on the pitch, but this seems to be the case with a lot of referees this season. Q

We didnt win , even though it blatantly feels like we should.have. I have written time and time again on this board that bamford is not good enough upfront. Hes a great holding guy, but we need someone upfront with him. Had we had a ninja in the box, that would have been 4-1 win tonight, not a defeat.

Emirates, what a stadium. Though Arsenal, like Chelsea lack soul. Their fans had little chants or songs, credit to leeds fans for again showing why they are the best fans in the country.

Forget to mention earlier, thought Douglas looked very comfortable on the ball and better defensively. Would like to see him play more, as I think him on form would be an asset to us, and LB is probably our weakpoint.
