We have lots of talent coming through. Our academy have beaten the Liverpool academy 3 times this season and most of those Liverpool players played in a win v Everton yesterday.

Ours just don’t get a chance either with us or on loan so stagnant and regress.

Let’s hope this new bunch coming through get dealt with better

my point stands. there is nothing coming through. the players might be good.. but they are not coming through. Poch who loves a young player didn't really give minutes to any of the current academy lot, and Mourinho aint either... so the talent may be there.. but nothing is coming through....

Also fans don’t help because they would rather a flashy new signing than to give ours a run out.

For example-

Spurs fans wants Max Aaron’s who will cost £40m but don’t want kwp because he’s small and weak yet is bigger and stronger than Aaron’s.

Kwp was a head of Arrons in all the youth England teams and was the number 1 England youth RB.

KWP spent 2 years in the weird poch zone of not playing and not allowed out on loan while Arrons spent that time getting 60 odd games for Norwich.

Now KWP is shot in confidence and looks awful for it.

The talent is there

that's good to know.

the one thing that i have always maintained through the Poch reign was that we completely misused the loan system.

we have completely facked KWP's career up because of it, and we haven't used it effectively at all, either ins or outs.

its bizarre when you think that our hitman and probably only genuine world class player had so many loans so that he could get senior football under his belt at a young age.....

i think its rididuclous tbh. KWP should have had prem loans by now in the same way that Danny Rose did back in the day.

Skipp etc shouldn't be lingering around being 6th choice CM.. they should be at Swansea or equivalent playing every week.

But whose fault is that? Is it Poch's or is it the bald fraud's? Going by his complaints about how much of a say he was having on ins and outs, I would suggest it's more Levy.

Levy is far from perfect but surely anybody connected with the club knew that building the stadium would have an impact on transfers. The problem is that now we have a huge impressive home with a load of bollox furniture in it.

There is no question in my mind that to have a squad of players that have regressed so much and so quickly is down to the person who coaches/manages them, remember most pundits and many supporters thought we had the 3rd best squad in the Prem going into this season.

Top players all have their use by dates. They don't just stay good forever, and if the club doesn't show the ambition that they want they (and the manager) start to lose motivation too. Poch knew this but not enough was done to remedy it. Instead Levy sacks the person who questioned the problem rather than addressed the problem, which he still doesn't look like doing.

Of course players can't stay good forever but Verts is the only one where age should be considered as a factor.

Skipp, Tanganga & Parrott should all go out on loan.

If they aren’t getting time on the pitch against Middlesbrough ( btw I bet poch would’ve played them ) then when are they getting playing time

desperately need some silverware at this club its getting ridiculous now. 3 trophies in 30 years is a joke.

You see playing a couple youngsters I don’t agree you’re not taking the competition seriously.

Like I said earlier fans want fancy names over academy players.

No one can tell me having Tanganga player over Vertonghen would’ve made us weaker or Skipp over Dier ( in midfield ).

Not all players decline at the age of 32, some do earlier and some later

Plenty of our players aren’t as good as they were a few seasons ago. Not only Jan but also Toby, Rose, Dier etc. Even Kane

Poch knew this and wanted to rebuild 2 seasons ago. Levy wouldn’t back him because it would cost him money

Now instead we have a manager who got given the job because he bugged up our squad to levy and promised he wouldn’t need funds for transfers

Only now is Jose realising that our squad of players aren’t as good as he believed

So now we’re in the same situation only with a worse coach
