After yesterday’s display, I would have thought we would have to beat the strikers like Brewster off...let’s get some business done LUFC!

Leeds have Bamford and a bunch of kids with zero experience.
Swansea have
£15.5m striker Baston
£20.0m striker Ayew
on-loan striker Kalulu with experience in top flight france and switzerland
on-loan Surridge with league1/2 experience
----------------------------------------------------------------------
wow. thats depressing.
but with all those strikers how are swansea going to play brewster. or are they that rich they'll pay the penalty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surridge got recalled. Brewster can play wide also.

Whilst I personally would like to see new blood I can't see it happening. Bielsa is indeed doing a great job but he's also influential in the recruitment and squad make up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
bielsa wants a small squad but this wouldn't stop him from wanting better players.
like kebab says it shows how great marcello is doing but really concerns me what will happen when he goes,
i'd hate to return to the bad old days when i thought liw could do as good a job managing as some of the dross we had. no offence to liw.

No, he went to Turkey. 7 goals and 4 assists in 13 games. Still picking up injuries and missing games.

Ok Surridge has been recalled (my bad) and it took Swansea only 6 days to find a replacement signed and ready to play in their next game.
Clarke left ages ago.

With all that talent, Swansea have a GD of +2 and have 11 less goals than we have.
People bemoan the lack of strike power yet we have the second best goals for tally in the league and can I remind you that of the 43 goals to date Nketiah scored only 3.
Not saying we don't need more up front but just to get anybody will not necessarily equate to better returns.

i think what most people bemoan (the logical ones at least) are the easy chances we miss which would put us where i believe we should be, miles in front on top.
we are the best team in the league and bamford is a good striker but he should have at least 15 goals by now.
lots of very good strikers miss a lot of easy chances, mo salah for one. could have had 50 his first season with liverpool.

I don't know the answer to this, it's a question.
Where is Brewster in terms of development, compared to Nketiah? Would he have been an improvement? Would he have been different?
Replacing Eddie, finding a back up to Bamford, I don't think will be easy. They'll need to be patient and they'll need to fit our team - not the other way round. They may need to swap one subs bench for another maybe - who'll want that?

VOF agree..
Kebab.. be fair mate, MB will want the right man, not somebody just for a quick replacement.. whilst I understand your frustration.. I think (to quote LIW) you’re player championship manager ..
I doubt very much MB, O dog and Radz are sat playing scrabble mate.. you’d like to think they are busy looking to sign a player that fits.

Yep if they get the right players all well and good.
I just feel that surely we already have a list of targets in preparation for these things happening. It’s been fairly clear both Clarke and Eddie could have been leaving and so we should have identified targets weeks ago.
Appreciate those targets may not yet be available for whatever reason but like James will they ever be available? Every day passes is another day less to get them up to speed. Every day passes another player signs for another club.
I’m not panicking as such just yet but we are down to bare bones and reliant on players changing positions and not getting any more injuries.
With Forshaw possibly gone for the season and Pablo Roberts Shackleton not back and ayling now possibly facing a lay off you look at the bench and there’s nothing to come on.
