They bought Lukaku off us, took Sanchez, been linked with Matic and now in for Young. They're welcomed to Jones as well.

Should have got Conte in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. We should have got in the manager that is buying in the players the fans want rid of. That would have worked out well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He obviously fancies them and they fit his system.
Only a fool would argue he wouldn't have got more out of this squad.

Given the emergence of Williams. We now have 2 players for both full back roles, with AWB/Dalot at RB and Shaw/Williams at LB.
If they all actually stayed fit, Young isn't needed. He has never been up to the standard for us anyway, either as a Winger or FB.
I wouldn't be that fussed if he left now or stayed.

He might have done. But United fans would still be bored with the football that Conte serves up.

I hear Sanchez has only made 3 apps for them and has been an absolute flop, even as a loanee.
I can't remember another player going from being one of the best players in a top league to a complete waste of space in such a short space of time. Baffles me

then you heard wrong, he has been injured since mid october

I would agree with you if Shaw and Dalot could stay fit. Both have spent most of their United career in the treatment room. If that wasn't the case, I think Young would be allowed to leave.

Indeed. But at least he is getting of the right players and hopefully when we finally sign some midfielders and a right sided attacker they will be the type that encourage expansive football. That wouldnt happen under conte?

I think the jury is very much out on whether he is getting the right players.
Certainly not prioritising midfield in the summer was daft. Conte won a title though, that won't happen under Ole.
And tbh i thought they played some nice stuff winning it.
I can see the point you are making though but i think it's more in hope Ole is the right man than in expectation.

Pretty much
There is a huge leap between what people hope and what we’re getting
Conte has worked wonders with Lukaku and is making Martinez into a world class striker. He’s a superb manager and I really don’t see why people would rather take a huge chance on Ole over someone like Conte. If Ole played good football and we were losing I would understand it - but it’s absolutely dire

We will see once he has a midfield. But for now he is clearing out the players that are suited to a style of football that united fans don't want to see. Conte would have just bought more of them
