Short Term Fixes

Morning all, hope you are well. I think Ole needs to rethink his player acquisition strategy and look for some experienced players to help the younger ones. Short term fixes and loan deals will help this side a lot more than plodding on with the injuries we have to the end of the season.

I appreciate he may be looking at who gets stuck in when the going gets rough but the team needs some support even for half a season. Fergie brought in experienced heads like Sheringham, Larsson and even Owen to bolster the squad and Ole needs to do something similar. Especially in midfield.

His failure to act will cost him his job so I think he needs to act quickly and selfishly. A few wiser heads in the team will help and can he please stop playing Pereira next to Fred. He's just not that type of player.

Wouldn't mind Carrick getting his boots on at this stage. That's how bad things are and they could get worse. Bringing in Garner, Gomes and Chong will help but they need wise heads with them.

We got out best manager since SAF, win two trophies and cake second

_______

But he failed your expectations and what you said he'd deliver which was either or both of the CL and the PL.
Plus his football was as bad if not worse than the guy he replaced
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was no worse than LvG - at worst it was on par but he still surpassed in terms of achievements, goals scored and league placing than LVg did - but even then he failed by expectations and I literally didn’t shed a tear when he was sacked as he didn’t do what I expected in the time he was there.

He actually lived up to the expectations of those who didn't want him appointed in the first place

Same with LvG and same with Moyes. And ole is living up to those meek expectations as well.

At some point a manager will come in and surpass them. Of course the Ed and Glazers thing is an issue but we have to be careful to not go too far the other way. They are a handicap but we can’t build them up into an unsurpassable hurdle because we’ve seen Jose come second with 81 points under them. Imagine what a better manager than him would do?

"Only those who can see Ole is out of his depth and those who just think it would be nice to give him time"

Bollox. There are plenty of people who fall between.

...........

Me for starters.

Jose is the ultimate short term fix and he failed in expectations despite his 81 point finish

He was a departure from what the philosophy of this club is all about and set our transition post fergie back the 2 + seasons he was here

Ed and the glazers are not an unsurpassable hurdle while they fail to implement the structures needed to truly set this club on the right path.

Until that happens the likes of poch are more likely to fail that's if hes willing to risk his reputation working with Ed's incompetence

No manager will be held responsible for their failings I til Woodward moves on. Even then the blame will probably shift to the scouts, agents, players.

The fact that so far 3 of them have been sacked would tell you that managers are being held responsible
