Will Ole be good enough?

Hi.

Do you honestly believe he is good enough, or will ever be good enough (within a reasonable time frame of maybe next 12-24 months), even if he gets new players?

You can't just say "let's wait and see" IMO. You have to actually believe that its coming. This is why Madrid sack managers "prematurely". If they don't feel it will work they don't say, " let's wait and see",they pull the trigger.

Liverpool finished 8th under Klopp in his first season but the manner of doing that was full of promise and quite exciting as a fan.

Can you say the same with Ole? Honest question, obviously we can't know for sure but personally, do you feel he has what it takes? What does your gut say?

Another way of spinning it would be to say he lost two cup finals and finished below Rodgers

Every Liverpool fan was happy with Klopp after one year

Very few United fans are happy with Ole

Klopp showed a lot more in their first year than Ole
———
He certainly did, didn’t he take them from 6th to 8th?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, 10th to 8th and two cup finals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah I’m sure they finished 6th the season before he took over
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So he takes over half way through a season and takes us from 6th to 8th?

Half way through?

Not even a quarter

So after finishing 8th in his first non full season, what position did we finish the next season?

Ok, I’ll tell you.

We went from 8th to 4th and improved by 16 pts.

I think it’s referred to as ‘formal evening wear’ in Liverpool.

Think Bobby is being a bit dishonest with his argument here. Don't know why an otherwise reasonable fella would lie to himself like this. Even dismissing two cup final appearances which could have easily been two cup wins in his debut season. Klopp and Ole starts at their respective clubs couldn't be more different. No need to argue over facts, the argument should be elsewhere IMO.

I don't think he'll be good enough based on his inability to coach attacking patterns, using width, creating overloads, passing triangles, movement and so on.

Also his ability to make offensive tweaks during the game is poor. He usually makes like for like subs when needing a goal. We never seem to target a specific weakness in the opposition defense.

These are qualities needed in a coach in the modern era, and not something he will somehow learn a couple of years into the job.
