On Wednesday Wolves travel to Manchester to face United in their FA Cup 3rd round replay match.

After the previous game, which ended 0 - 0, both managers stated that they would have been happy for the game to go straight to penalties to decide the outcome. With both clubs juggling domestic fixtures with Europa League commitments, an extra game is not welcome.

Last time out United had Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial unavailable due to illness. Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay were injured and also unavailable.
Wolves were without long term absentees Willy Boly and Bruno Jordao and key forward Diogo Jota who was injured in the previous game against Watford.

Since the last game on Saturday 3rd Wolves have shipped out defender Jesus Vallejo and striker Patrick Cutrone which leaves the squad even thinner with Boly and Jordao still unavailable and Jota still a doubt. One bright point though is that midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has recovered from his back problem and is available

For United Marcus Rashford is a doubt after being subbed at 60 minutes in the game against Norwich. Pogba and McTominay remain unavailable.

With United now pushing for a top 4 spot and Wolves trying to break into the top six, it is likely that both managers will make significant changes to the starting 11.

Gem’s prediction: 2-2 Wolves to go through on pens.

The game will be shown live on BT Sport

Nuno has said that he will have the same squad as last time but not necessarily the same starting 11.
The squad then will be:
Patricio
Ruddy
Bennett
Coady
Kilman
Dendoncker
Saiss
Doherty
Jonny
Vinagre
Buur
Neves
Moutinho
Otasowie
Traore
Neto
Ashley-Seal
Jimenez

So for me we start with:
Ruddy
Dendoncker
Coady
Kilman
Doherty
Jonny
Neves
Mouinho
Traore
Neto
Jimenez

Subs after 60 minutes when we are cruising and 2 up

Kilman usually comes in so he can push Saiss in to midfield and rest one of the midfield maestros. Just have a feeling that Rasmussen might start for some reason, was very impressed with him in the besiktas game. Will need interesting to see if he starts BA-S again. Really didn't work out for him in the first match, maybe the occasion & surroundings might persuade him to shift his arss as bit more.

To be fair to Benny he had to come off at half time in the first game after falling ill so we shouldn’t judge him on that game.

Like to see Otasowie get another chance. Impressed with him when he came on against Besiktas and when I saw him for the U23s last week. Can play in defence or midfield and time will tell what his best position is.

I would have thought Ruddy, Kilman and Vinagre would definitely start

The Tranmere v Watford tie postponed last night won’t now be played until Jan 23rd. The winners will then play at home to Man Utd or Wolves on the 26th giving the clubs only 3 days to sell tickets

not knocking halfwit here but the reducing post count on the matchday thread is remarkable. barely 4 posts the entire second half v toon. are more posters at the game or is the availability of live streams having an effect ? we got far more in league 1,
anybody got an explanation ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I’d wager they get bored of seeing the preview for hat long they think the real thing is this antique and swerve it.

OP, you still got that stick up your arris?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah the preview thread is rubbish but strangely, you seem drawn to keep posting on it.
By the way it's bored with it, not bored of it, your grammar is as bad as your wum attempts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I wouldn’t concentrate too much on grammar when yours is not perfect

I never said it was a rubbish preview by the way, just suggesting it was slightly early.

Just an opinion, you know, on a public forum. Kind of like what the thing is for.

But if you don’t like discussion - on a public forum for discussion - you may want to rethink your internet existence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you always been a smartarse or is this something that you are just starting to practice?
Perhaps I need to explain that the idea of a match preview thread (which by the way was by popular demand) is so that fans can discuss a forthcoming game before match day. If you don't agree with the concept, why on earth did you post on it in the first place?
Anyway, whatever, good luck tomorrow. Let's hope for a better game than the last one and a positive result one way or another, after 90 minutes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just practicing, is it that obvious?

Yeah just pulling your chain mate

I got all excited the match was Tuesday when I seen the thread - then disappointingly realised it was Wednesday. Felt so far away. I was triggered, I can’t deny.

But today’s the day. Good luck yourself

I’m gonna stick a 10er on your prediction as well

Went for £15 as that returns over a grand - £1005 to be exact.

I’ll look forward to your next preview article if this comes in

Good luck with your bet Shinjury. If it comes in I think it would be only fair to split it with me though as it was my original prediction. I'll give you the £7.50 obviously

You know what, I’m not greedy, if it wins I’ll sort you £10, sorry 10%, for the tip (and for the grammar lesson). Genuine.

I’m quite finicky about that kind’ve thing (that one was on purpose) so I’m glad to be shown the error of my ways.

Bored of still seems right.

But then again, the amount of people I see writing “I would of posted 5 selfies a day” for example, mainly on social media, baffles and irritates me in equal measures.

By the way, I think you may have missed out a comma, that’s what I was referring to previously. Pretty pathetic I know, but I was reeling on the ropes once I researched “bored of”

Once again, thanks for the tips.

Does “scared of” not work either?

You’ve totally scrambled my brain with that
