Just looking at this site:
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/chelsea-fc/kader/verein/631/saison_id/2019v
It gives a loose value of our players. Obviously players like kante would go for more than what they are stating, but who do we think are our most valuable assets and who will be in a years time.
Ones that stand out for me are pedro being worth more than reece james
Mount being worth £40 mill and zouma at £30 mill compared to James at £13 million as well.
By this time next year, if potential is fufilled then we could see all of tammy, mount, pulisic, cho and james be worth in excess of £50 million.
Lets hope pulisic can get back to fitness for the champions league. Also I hope rlc comes back to near his best as he would be a huge asset.
This shows a real direction the club is going in, giroud and pedro are likely leaving so our eldest player will be willian at 31, and he is out of contract in the summer.

yeah not quite sure what type of system they use to work it out.
RJ, being in a more specialist position where its easier to break through, will be world class.
Mount/cho/pulisic jury is still out.

Pedro is the most winning player there is and that experience doesnt come cheap he is still performing at a good physical level and is our most direct player when turning defence into attack. Reece is good so far but has played 3 games in the PL, so wether he cont. is yet to be seen.

There are all kinds of factors Nick, but a huge one in determining market value is remaining contract duration.
I believe James has only two years left on his, whilst Mount, for example, is signed up to 2024 or 2025.
Once James’ new contract is agreed and Chelsea have the player locked down for five years, his market value will increase significantly.
Predicting that he’ll become a world class player at this stage is just a little premature though, no?

Hello mate,
Yeah very true about contract lengths.
However I think most chelsea fans are in agreement with the following:
We have lots of potential stars, mount, cho, tammy, pulisic but the one that we can all foresee most definitely filling his potential is James.
He seems to have everything, I would wager if he plays another 10 or so league games this year most will be putting him in the top 5 rbs in the league already.
