Bad News

Just been announced few hours ago that ACON 2021 will take place in Jan rather than the original planned June/July period due to weather conditions. Apparently it's the monsoon season in West Africa so won't work. Means we're likely to lose Mo, Sadio and Naby.

It’s every 2 years but the gap between the last and the next will be 18 months because they’ve brought it forwards to Jan and Feb 21. Kuntzz

I thought it was every two years. Unless they’re taking a page out of Conmebol’s book and having the tournament when they feel like it...

They should be forced to make it every 4 years like the euros and wc or remove them from the wc.

Hopefully winter breaks around then and its a bit further down the line along with fixture congestion being eased too, its not sustainable for players and surely clubs pressure will keep growing for compromise.

Seems like every year. Should be every 4 like all other international tournaments.

liverpool will be the hardest hit of the top teams along with leicester and arsenal. the manchester teams only lose one player each and chelsea doesn't have any africans? that can't be right.
