Piatek a proper striker though Billy and is certainly better than playing Son and Lucas upfront.

Just because it's an improvement on no striker at all doesn't mean we should settle for poor players when there are better ones out there

You don’t know he’s poor though do you ? Had a standout season in an average Geneo team scoring a lot of goals. Hasn’t been terrible for Milan either, especially his 1st season. I’m not saying he’s the top class striker we need, but we need a classic number 9 that can provide the goals. Son and Lucas are not up to it.

Based on the games I have watched, the opinions of others and the numbers I'm pretty confident saying that he is poor or at the very least not what we need.

We will see. I just don’t want to spend the rest of the season playing 2 players out of position upfront. Lucas and Son are wide forwards, not strikers.

I want a striker but not just any old one.

Ideally a loan with a option would be good so we don’t waste our seemingly non existent budget

Knowing Levy, we probably won’t get anyone.

Radix might be worth a shot , Ajax captain so Levy will have to spend big, but his 31 .

I don`t want straight loans unless its an older player coming towards the end, loans with options to buy are the way to go.

Why should we take a player on loan, train him and improve him, only for his parent club to take him back a lot better player.

We are a big club and should not be doing other clubs favours by developing their players, so loan with options or obligations to buy are the way to go.

Obviously, exceptions can be made for more older established players.

Exactly. Cavani on loan I can totally accept, but loaning someone like Jović from Madrid is a no no for me. You will get a player that’s not really into the club and will only end up being developed for Madrid.
