What does it take to get players in?

Any club in this division with a player good enough for us, will put the price up and a lot of teams are challenging for the playoffs, not going to go buy someones top scorer, we don't have the cash.

Just posted article with excellent blog piece on Bielsa.

One of key points is how Bielsa takes average players and makes them perform well.

BUT, goalscoring is something harder to teach ie you need natural goalscorers and Bielsa's tend to get sold with management thinking he'll do ok with whatever we give him, but its not the case as we see with Bamford, you need someone who can naturally take advantage of frenetic what in reality are half chances.

I doubt we would get the truth from Bielsa even if he was desperate and demanding a striker. Hes too honest to start pointing the figure....

You can see how Bielsa has caught Bamford how to be the all round striker. Running the channels, hold up, pressing etc. All learnable skills.

Finishing can be improved but is a lot more natural. He can’t teach someone that.
