Keep Vieira, give Edmondson a chance, keep Roofe and then we don't waste money on Baker loan, Eddie loan and Bamford purchase.

And then the fans whinge that we haven’t bought anyone.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t!

Could play cm.

Personally dont think neither his passing nor first touch would have been good enough for cm. He was good in the air, he could tackle. He had a few great games but he was prone to getting caught in possession and giving the ball away.

Prone to getting caught in possession as none of his teammates had moved into open spaces for him to pass to?

JLA.. I loved Vieira also but I don’t think it’s comparable at all.
Both give two very different things to the team.. and I don’t value comes into it that much when transfers are involved

Well, do you think Leeds has benefited from Bamford as a #9 as we expected to? While I support him and feel he gets overly crucified, I don’t believe we have gotten all we expect from a main striker.
So with the benefit of hindsight we may have been better off keeping Vieira and Roofe instead of getting Bamford but hard to fault the club for giving a go.

Possibly Jonny and a fair point. It would have been good to see him in a better side. He never looked overly comfortable playing with his back to the opponents goal neither. Klich and Forshaw have that ability to twist and turn to find space. Vieira was more static solid player.

Obviously this is all hindsight driven. But it’s just highlighting another one or two of the poor decioosuins that have led us hear, scratching around desperately fir a striker, after continually selling off the ones who can score.
Regardless of the division we’re in next season, we must look at this DOF role, it’s costing us a fortune and not working.

If we are in the Prem, many may argue it worked just fine!
